We own and manage some of the most recognisable and loved retail destinations across Australia.Please note: we are recruiting for 7 roles, at each of our key VIC centres:EmporiumDFO South WharfBox Hill CentralThe GlenBaysideWere looking for proactive, and customer-focused Security Risk Managers to join our team and lead the security operations function at our major Melbourne shopping centres.As a key member of the Shopping Centre Management Team, youll work closely with our security providers, retailers, emergency services, local law enforcement and other key community stakeholders to drive best practice in incident preparedness, emergency management, contractor performance, and community engagement.You will have a primary shopping centre working location with some requirement to work at other shopping centres in a support capacity where there is no Security Risk Manager. Providing leadership presence during peak trade periods, which includes working every second weekend, is a requirement of the role.Key accountabilitiesLead local emergency preparedness and incident response, including regular and comprehensive training of shopping centre management teamsAct as the key connection between the shopping centre management team, security guarding providers and the National Security teamManage and enhance the performance of contracted security providersEnsure quality assurance in incident reporting and follow-up actionsConduct regular security and risk assessments and implement mitigation strategiesBuild strong relationships with local law enforcement, emergency services, schools, and community groups.6 days/4 days roster, every second Sat and Sun worked (Tues-Sun then Tues-Fri).Experience & capabilitiesDemonstrated experience in security operations or a related fieldStrong understanding of modern security threats, systems, and technologiesExperience in emergency management and contractor oversightExcellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skillsOrganised and methodical with strong procedural disciplineCalm, composed, and confident under pressureA passion for safety, education, and continuous improvement.Why Vicinity?Birthday leave & purchased additional leave$1,000 worth of Vicinity securities rewarded for eligible team members16 weeks parental leave for primary or secondary parentCompany funded Salary Continuance and Death & Total and Permanent Disability Insurances.We live and work by our values of Respect, Integrity, Customer Focus, Collaboration and Excellence.
