Locum Opportunity: Outreach Worker in Northampton, UK, 23 Hourly 3 months with a view to extend Leap into the heart of Northampton with this exciting chance to make a difference as a Locum Outreach Worker. Working full time, youll be at the forefront of engaging with and supporting individuals who experience street-based living. The contract spans 3 months, with the enticing possibility of extension, allowing you to dive deep into meaningful work and create sustainable change. What you will do: Engage with individuals experiencing streetbased living, including rough sleepers and beggars, connecting them with the right services and housing options Empower service users to achieve sustainable change through personalised and coordinated support Focus on building individuals strengths and social networks, both locally and in their home communities Deliver flexible, assertive, and creative interventions to engage hardtoreach individuals and help reduce homelessness Street outreach shifts at varying times and locations to identify and engage rough sleepers Provide assertive outreach to support entrenched rough sleepers, including those initially resistant to engagement Collaborate with housing, healthcare, and social care services to develop holistic, personcentred plans Assist individuals being discharged from hospital, ensuring rapid access to safe and appropriate accommodation Maintain accurate records, report progress, and contribute to multiagency meetings and local homelessness initiatives If you have experience in a substance misuse service and are eager to step into a pivotal role, this opportunity could be ideal for you.
