We are seeking a skilled chef to join our team at Bani''s Restaurant & Bar in Cowes.Located at 10 Thompson Ave, Cowes, our Restaurant is a well-established eating place in Cowes. We take pride in providing exceptional food and service to our customers.We would prefer applicants with a minimum of two years of experience in Greek Cuisine in our fast-paced kitchen, showcasing their skills and creativity.Requirements:Trade Qualification of Certificate III OR IV in Commercial Cookery or higherProven experience as a Chef (minimum 2 years preferred), experience in a similar cuisine(Greek) is preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple ordersHave a passion for cookingBe able to organise production schedulesHave knowledge of Food Handling and Food Safety proceduresAble to work well under pressureTasks:Preparing and cooking various food items as per the menuPrepare daily production listPlanning menusEstimate and manage stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise food wastageDemonstrating techniques and advising on cooking proceduresGuiding and giving direction to other kitchen staffEnsure that all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet the business specifications and commitment to quality.Ensure that all stations remain stocked before and during the working period.Verify that other staff follow all recipes and portion servings correctlyEnsuring proper sanitisation of working stations, storage area and the entire kitchen area.Places food and supplies orders as directed.Train kitchen staff and junior staff.Organise a kitchen meeting to discuss various problems and provide solutionsManaging staff levels in the kitchen areaFree staff meals during working shifts providedSchedule:8-hour shift (Thursday to Tuesday)- Servicing Hours 12 pm to 9 pm(1st May to 25th December each year)8-hour shift (Wednesday to Tuesday)- Servicing Hours 12 pm to 9 pm (26th Dec to 30th April each year)If Interested, please attach your resume and a cover letter detailing your experience.About CompanyTUNG VENTURES PTY LTD T/A Bani''s Restaurant & Bar,10 thompson Avenue Cowes VIC 392This job is posted from Workinitiatives platform. #J-18808-Ljbffr
