Were currently hiring Part-time Laundry Services Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated team at Respect Hudson Housein Cooma, NSW. In this role you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene by ensuring residents'' laundry needs are met with care and efficiency. We are currently seeking a Laundry Services Assistant for weekday shifts (Monday and Tuesday), with the flexibility to cover Fridays as required. About the role The Laundry Services Assistant is responsible for providing effective and efficient laundry services, ensuring a clean, safe, and home-like environment for residents and staff. Key Duties and Responsibilities Collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute residents clothing, linen, and other items in a timely and respectful manner. Operate commercial laundry equipment according to procedures. Follow infection control protocols in handling and processing laundry. Ensure laundry is labelled, sorted, and returned to the correct residents. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the laundry area. Safe use and storage of laundry chemicals and materials in accordance with safety guidelines. Participate in workplace health and safety initiatives. Perform other relevant tasks within the scope of the role, as directed by the organisation. Essential Requirements Training or experience in laundry operations or similar support services. Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire). Knowledge and experience in chemical handling and infection control. Experience in residential aged care or a similar environment is highly regarded.
