Role Summary We are seeking a motivated individual to develop, deliver, and promote a variety of programs and events that cater to the informational and recreational needs of our community. Responsibilities Develop new and innovative programs that meet the needs of the community. Coordinate and deliver programs and events at Bankstown Library and across Council branch libraries. Identify and develop partnerships for programs and events with Council departments, community organisations, businesses, nongovernment, and government agencies. Contribute to the promotion of programs and events through inhouse publications, Council websites, and other promotional opportunities. Liaise with Councils Corporate Communications Unit. Participate in the regular process of review, evaluation and reporting of all programs, events and marketing outcomes. Provide customer focused and professional service and help maintain a positive Library environment. Qualifications Eligibility for membership of the Australian Library and Information Association or qualifications and experience relevant to the duties stated. Working with Children Check. Experience in the development, delivery and promotion of innovative library (or similar) programs and events, providing quality learning opportunities and recreational experiences. Proven ability to identify, evaluate and implement new programs and events. Demonstrated strong commitment to delivering quality customer service. High level communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal), including high level English skills. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team. Experience in delivering programs and activities. Involvement in reviewing policies and procedures. Proficient in MS Office applications and online database management. Salary and Benefits The salary range for this opportunity starts at $71,820 (Grade D, Step1) + 12% super.
