About the Role BMD is in a significant growth phase with a strong pipeline of projects in hand and as a result, we are looking for a Community & Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to form an integral part of the Tonkin Extension Alliance team. The primary purpose of this position is to support the Senior Community & Stakeholder Engagement Advisor and the project team to deliver coordinated and effective communications and engagement activities to minimise the community impacts and complaints during the construction of civil construction projects. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, property owners, local councils, and key stakeholders. Act as the primary contact for all stakeholder enquiries, feedback, and complaints. Develop and deliver engagement strategies, communication campaigns, notifications, and project updates. Coordinate community engagement activities such as door knocks, briefings, and information sessions. Monitor stakeholder sentiment, report on key issues, and provide strategic advice to the project leadership team. Support the project team to ensure construction impacts are well managed and expectations are met. Champion a culture of proactive communication and community relations across the project. Skills and Experience Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Public Relations, Media Relations Communications or Business, or related discipline. Extensive prior experience in communications and stakeholder management on major infrastructure projects. Experience working within a team and leading team members.
