We are looking for an experienced Power Sector expert to join our Clean Power team. As part of our team, you''ll have the opportunity to make a profound impact, driving the transition towards a cleaner and greener world. The successfulcandidate will play a key and leading role in growing our business in Australia with a focus on regulatory, markets and technical advisory to power utilities, AEMO, developers and investors of renewable energy, storage, and power network infrastructure. In projects, your role will be to provide guidance and strategic advice to existing and new clients in navigating the complex world of power regulation, markets, renewable energy and grid interconnection. You will be a trusted adviser, supportingregulators,developers, investors, and power users in making informed decisions that align with their sustainability goals. We encourage you to apply for this role if you have the following key competencies and significant and demonstrable experience: Essential University and masters degree inenergyeconomics / economic regulation,electrical or mechanicalengineering,or similar. Significant experience in lead generation and business development, with a strong track record establishing lasting relationships with private sector customers in the renewable and storage industry and with power utilities across Australia. Significant experience working for private sector customers in the renewable and storage industry and with power utilities in Australia. Technical expertise in providing regulatory/markets advisory to utilities and regulators and/or technical advisory services to developers/owners/investors of renewable and storage projects. Excellent working knowledge of power markets, energy policy framework and technical regulations. Understanding of the complete energy ecosystem from generation, transmission,distributionand associated infrastructure with the ability to help conceptualise overall solution for prospective clients. Familiarity with power regulation frameworks and power market design topics. Successfultrack record in project management and leading teams. Excellent written communication skills. Native or professional-level competence in English. Desirable but not essential Hands-on experience with grid connections advisory (e.g. to developers and/or system operators). Experience with transmission modelling software such as PSS/E or Digsilent would be an asset. Experience and expertise with financial and/or economic analysis of renewable power and/or hydrogen projects. International experience in power sector consultancy demonstrable experience outside of as well as within Australia would be an asset.
