Senior Home Care Worker - Qualified Churches of Christ Home Care- Bundaberg Permanent Full Time About the role Churches of Christ are currently looking for caring and reliable Senior Home Care Workers. You will provide compassionate, client-centred care to individuals in their homes with everyday tasks, companionship, medication and social support as well as some office-based responsibilities. While much of your work will take place in the community, there will be times when you will contribute to planning and coordination from our office. As a senior team member, you will also be available for on-call support as the need arises, within a 6:30 am - 6:30 pm window and occasional weekend coverage to support backfilling needs, ensuring that clients receive the highest standard of care when they need it most. Responsibilities Provide friendly companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes. Assist with medications and personal cares. Assist with household tasks such as light cleaning, meal preparation, and shopping. Support clients with transport to appointments and community activities. Encourage independence and well-being in a home environment. Participate in the review of client care plans, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate. Train and mentor Home Care Workers. What we''re looking for Are you somebody who is passionate about delivering quality Home Care services to the local community? Providing personalised assistance to clients, helping them maintain their independence and enhancing their quality of life within their chosen community. Our ideal candidate Is reliable, adaptable and has well developed communication skills. Currently holds the below qualifications Certificate III in Individual Support or higher. Assist Clients with Medication - HLTHPS006. Recognise Healthy Body Systems - HLTAAP001. Provide Individualised Support - CHCCCS031. Currently holds, or is willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR qualification. Currently holds, or is willing to obtain a current Police Check. A current driver''s license & reliable vehicle - Work cars may be available. Hold valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to offer sponsorship. If you are required to use your personal vehicle, it must be suitable for work-related duties. Reimbursement is offered at $0.96 per kilometre for approved use of your own vehicle.
