Maintenance Officer Permanent Part Time 2 days per week Calvary Central Districts Hospital, Elizabeth Vale, SA, Australia. About The Role The Maintenance Officer reports to the Buildings and Infrastructure Manager and works independently to provide reactive and planned preventive maintenance. This position will supervise and assist contractors and exercise independent judgement on routine matters. The role participates in an oncall roster providing service and advice out of normal working hours. Key Responsibilities Manage all required maintenance duties and tasks. Undertake a daily operational and maintenance check of all plant, equipment, and buildings. Perform general maintenance / handyman duties or work across other trade areas within skill level, as required. Demonstrate understanding of the relevant Australian Standards associated with maintenance of a private hospital facility. Participate in afterhours oncall service, performing emergency tasks as required. What You Bring Relevant trade experience desirable but not necessary (Plumbing, Mechanical fitter, electrical or Carpentry). Previous experience in commercial facility maintenance, preferably hospitals. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.Effective interpersonal and communication skills. A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a missionbased organisation.
