Homeless Outreach Worker IFYS Accommodation Services is seeking a Homeless Outreach Worker to support individuals experiencing homelessness in the Sunshine Coast region. Overview As the Homeless Outreach Worker, you will provide assertive outreach support to rough sleepers and individuals experiencing housing crisis, within a holistic and collaborative multiagency model of service. Benefits Casual opportunity based in Maroochydore Casual base of $48.31 per hour (inclusive of 25% loading) + superannuation Excellent salary packaging options (package up to $15,900 per FBT year) Training opportunities including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training, Preventing Child Sexual Exploitation and Sanctuary training Free access to the CALM Premium App Flight Centre personal travel discounts Access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Responsibilities Provide place based assertive outreach to individuals and families experiencing homelessness or those at risk of homelessness Support and refer clients to access and engage with services to address their individual needs Work with other providers within a multiagency team, to deliver a holistic and collaborative model of service Assist individuals with applications for housing and their transition to longerterm accommodation options Provide emotional, social and welfare support in a culturally safe, therapeutic and trauma informed manner Timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks including (but not limited to) Maintenance of service user records, meeting minutes, completion of daily logs and required reporting Requirements Demonstrated professional experience delivering case management to individuals experiencing homelessness Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and the ability to build rapport quickly Strong stakeholder engagement skills within a multidisciplinary setting A Certificate IV or higher qualification in a relevant area of study is highly regarded Experience working with people exhibiting challenging behaviours and complex needs The ability to work independently to achieve client and program outcomes Must Hold or Be Willing to Obtain Valid Queensland Driver''s License with no restrictions QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card) Licensed Care Suitability Check (LCS2) National Crime Check (A new check will be completed through IFYS systems) Ability to provide two recent line manager references including your current employer How to Apply For further information on this role, please call 07 5438 3000 and ask to speak to Josh in the Recruitment team.
