Working closely with the Project & Development Director, youll plan, manage, and deliver a diverse range of developments and capital projects across the island ensuring theyre completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. Why youll love working with us Work with a skilled, close-knit team be part of a professional and collaborative workshop culture Live in paradise enjoy island living plus everyday essentials like a grocery store, school, gym, medical centre, post office, and even our own airport Enjoy incredible perks subsidised furnished staff accommodation, discounts on dining and island activities, ferry concessions and more Easy to get to fly direct from major cities Where youll make an impact Plan, scope, cost, and deliver development and infrastructure projects across the island in collaboration with the Project & Development Director Prepare and manage project programs, budgets, schedules, and tender documentation Oversee site operations, ensuring all works comply with WHS legislation and Australian building standards Engage and manage suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget Review and approve technical drawings, design specifications, and health and safety proposals Coordinate site logistics including safety plans, facilities, and access management Lead progress meetings, monitor performance, and provide monthly PCG reports on financials, schedules, and variations Manage overall project quality, cost, time, and risk outcomes to meet company and stakeholder expectations Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, government agencies, and contractors Oversee staff and resources within the department to achieve best outcomes based on team strengths and expertise Ensure all statutory approvals and compliance requirements are met before and during project delivery What were looking for Youre an experienced, proactive Project Manager who thrives on complexity, collaboration, and seeing a project through from concept to completion. With excellent leadership and communication skills, you can coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliver high-quality outcomes in dynamic environments. To be successful, youll need Formal qualification in a relevant Building Discipline (e.g. Architecture, Construction, Project Management) essential 5+ years of proven Project Management experience essential Demonstrated success managing Site Managers and projects across varied disciplines and sizes Strong financial, contract, and program management skills Experience working client-side (desirable) Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent site needs when required (e.g. during adverse weather or emergency conditions) Customer service-focused and confident representing the company in all dealings with contractors and stakeholders About Hamilton Island Our mission is to share the wonder of Hamilton Island with the world by creating wonder-filled experiences for our guests, employees and community.
