Trainee Scaffolder Illawarra Mercury Join to apply for the Trainee Scaffolder role at Illawarra Mercury.Applications close 12th November 2025. What Youll Be Doing You will complete a Certificate III in Scaffolding over 24 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical onthejob experience with Zeal Futures and Pipeline Scaffolding.Throughout your formal training and onthejob experience, you will have the opportunity to: Assist with the organisation and maintenance of the workshop, including the movement and storage of scaffolding materials and general housekeeping duties. Participate in the safe and efficient movement of scaffolding materials, both in the workshop and onsite, adhering to manual handling guidelines. Assist qualified scaffolders in all aspects of scaffolding work, including the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures. Learn and utilise hand tools and batteryoperated power tools effectively and safely. What Youll Bring To The Table Ability to work as part of a team and independently. Basic literacy and computer skills. Commitment to the full term of the traineeship and study requirements. Current drivers licence (P1 or higher at commencement of the traineeship). WHS Construction Induction (White Card), or willingness to obtain. Willingness to undergo preemployment medical, including audiometry, spirometry, drug and alcohol screening and functional capacity assessment.
