The Safeguards Team is a new dedicated CAMHS resource designed to provide rapid response to resolve mental health crisis across community and inpatient settings. The position sits within the Safeguards CAMHS Response Team (''Safeguards Team'') and reports to the FWLHD Safeguards Team Clinical Leader with professional responsibility to the FWLHD CAMHS District Manager. Key Responsibilities Lead the rapid responses to children''s and adolescents'' acute mental health crises across community and inpatient settings. Assess, intervene and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team following evidence-based, traumainformed practice. Plan, coordinate and implement treatment and aftercare pathways for children and adolescents aged 017 years. Document and report accurately in the electronic health record and contribute to service improvement initiatives. Social Worker Level 3: Bachelor of Social Work with AASW membership and minimum 3 years CAMHS experience. Graduate of the Djirruwang Bach of Health Science program with minimum 3 years CAMHS experience. Psychologist Year 4 or above: AHPRA registration, full registration by Psychology Board and minimum 4 years CAMHS experience. Senior Psychologist: AHPRA and Psychology Board full registration with minimum 1 year in a 9th-year service and ensuing salary scale point. Clinical Nurse Consultant 1: AHPRA Registered RN and minimum 5 years FTE postregistration clinical experience with relevant postgraduate qualifications. Extensive effective experience in assessment, intervention and care coordination in CAMHS. Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve within a multidisciplinary team. Extensive contemporary knowledge of psychological practice and traumainformed care principles. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and competence with information technology systems. Available to work extended hours and across FWLHD sites on request. Current unrestricted Australian driver licence (P2 licence acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW licence within 3 months of appointment.
