The TeamThe Team:The Paramedic team is a vital component of the Department of Health Tasmania, operating under Ambulance Tasmania, providing essential emergency and non-emergency clinical care and patient transport across the state. These professionals are registered with the Paramedicine Board of Australia, hold relevant qualifications, and work flexibly across regions to deliver high-quality care in dynamic environments, supported by a collaborative and inclusive health system.The RoleProvide pre-hospital clinical care to the Tasmanian community, including the transport of patients by ambulance or other means.You will need toAttend to members of the community requiring clinical care and treatment via ambulance services.Independently, or as part of a team, deliver pre-hospital clinical care in accordance with approved clinical practice guidelines.Maintain constant contact with the State Communications Centre, in accordance with Ambulance Tasmania policies, procedures, and work instructions.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Why TasmaniaThe Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.Salary range is in accordance with Ambulance Tasmania Agreement 2022.Salary PackagingYoull have access to salary packaging a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.AllowancesProfessional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annumEmployees employed at the following Remote site will be paid a Remote and Rural allowance of 8% of base salary.
