Location: Tamworth, NSW The position We are seeking a passionate and dedicated academic to join our team at the Peel Clinical School as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. In this role, you will contribute to the teaching, assessment, and academic support of medical students enrolled in the Joint Medical Program (JMP), specifically those undertaking studies in Years3,4, and5 of the MD program. You will play a key role in curriculum development and demonstrate excellence across Teaching and Learning, Research and Innovation, and Service and Engagement. About You You are an experienced educator with a strong commitment to student learning and development. You bring a growing research profile and a collaborative approach to academic and clinical engagement. LevelB (Lecturer) Requirements A doctoral qualification/PhD (or near completion) or equivalent accreditation and standing in Medicine. Current registration, as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no restrictions, notations or conditions. Proven experience in teaching, assessment, and/or curriculum development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Evidence of leadership through peer mentoring or clinical leadership roles. A commitment to collaborative engagement with clinicians and health services to improve healthcare outcomes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. A collaborative and adaptable approach to supporting all aspects of the Joint Medical Program. A current drivers licence. LevelC (Senior Lecturer) Requirements Unconditional registration as a Specialist Medical Practitioner with AHPRA (or equivalent), with recent clinical experience. Active Fellowship with a recognised Australian Specialty College. Demonstrated leadership in learning and teaching, including course coordination, curriculum development, and mentoring at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels. A strong record of clinical supervision of medical students, junior doctors, and registrars. A track record of collaborative, health-related research or quality improvement initiatives. Proven leadership and management capabilities.
