The operating entity established in 2021 is Wollemi Farms Pty Ltd. Transforming Farming: mixed farming enterprises, which includes the development of natural assets such as carbon sequestration and biodiversity. The operating entity established in 2021 is Faulkner Farming Pty Ltd. Wilga Farming (Australia): mixed farming enterprises, which includes the development of natural assets such as carbon sequestration and biodiversity. The operating entity established in 2023 is Wilga Farming (Australia) Pty Ltd. Meldora: mixed farming enterprises which includes the development of carbon sequestration and biodiversity projects. As the dedicated investment manager Gunn Agri Partners has oversight of the operating platforms and the employees within those organisations. Position Purpose The Accountant provides support across financial accounting, reporting, compliance, and administrative activities for a defined group of core entities managed by Gunn Agri Partners (GAP). Key Responsibilities Of This Role Will Include Accounting and Reporting Support the preparation and delivery of accurate financial results at monthend and yearend. Assist with monthly financial processes, ensuring journal entries are valid, controlled, and welldocumented. Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports, including management reports and Cost Centre Profit & Loss statements. Analyse cost centre performance and work collaboratively with Sector General Managers to manage and control expenditure. Support the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecast updates in partnership with business leaders. Financial Accounting Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other relevant accounting standards. Support, document, and apply accounting methodologies for subjective or complex transactions. Provide accounting advice and technical support to internal stakeholders as required. Statutory Compliance Complete and lodge indirect tax returns within required deadlines and to a high standard. Assist in the preparation of draft statutory accounts in compliance with IFRS and ensure all necessary documentation is maintained. Compliance and Internal Controls Adhere to and enforce agreed monthend timetables and financial control policies (e.g., authorisations, travel policies). Balance Sheet Oversight Complete all account reconciliations in accordance with monthend schedules. Accounting Process & Efficiency Develop streamlined, efficient accounting processes to ensure monthend close is achieved within five business days. Systems and Financial Integrity Maintain and enhance the general ledger structure to support accurate, businessaligned reporting. Ensure financial data integrity through consistent use of systems and application of accounting conventions. Oversee inventory valuation processes to ensure transparency, accuracy, and proper accounting treatment. General Act as a role model for the organisations core values. Carry out additional tasks and projects as required. Key Relationships Internal CFO, Finance Team, General Managers, Senior Executives, Farm Managers External Auditors and Accountants, ASIC, Banking Partners, Insurance Brokers and various suppliers The Requirements We are looking for two (2) Accountants with 23 years experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, deadlinedriven, and a strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. They will have a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships. A sound knowledge and understanding of IFRS accounting and reporting requirements is essential, as is the ability to apply these standards in practical scenarios. Key Qualifications And Attributes Financial Expertise Sound knowledge of IFRS and financial control within medium to large companies. Analytical Skills Proven ability to analyse financial data and interpret results in a handson environment. Collaboration & Independence Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team to achieve results, with ability to meet tight deadlines. Relationship Management Experience in building and maintaining internal and external professional relationships with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
