This is a handson role focused on ensuring the availability, reliability, and cybersecurity of systems including DCS hardware/software, SCADA, wellsite RTUs, PLC skid controllers, SIS systems, and Operator Training Simulators (OTS). Responsibilities Monitor asset control system performance and ensure Process Control System (PCS) and SIS availability, reliability, and cybersecurity are maintained. Investigate root causes of faults and promptly restore system performance to business requirements. Ensure changes to the control system comply with Origin processes, engineering assurance procedures, Management of Change (MOC) policy and procedure, and the Safe Control of Work (SCoW) practices. Develop business cases and complete detailed design to deliver operational and project modifications on control system assets to improve operational efficiency, manage obsolescence and increase production where justified. Develop, implement and maintain engineering systems and standards that reflect best practice and support Origin Energys objectives. Build strong working relationships with operators, I&E technicians, and asset engineering teams. Provide technical advice to the Integrated Gas business relating to Process Control Systems (PCS). Liaise with Site Operations, Brisbane Central Control Room (BCCR), Origin Corporate Operational Technology (OT) and Cybersecurity Teams during fault rectification, design changes and new projects. Liaise with control system vendors and subcontractors to improve equipment performance and manage vendor/contractor service support contracts. Monitor process safety, functional safety and alarm performance and maintain MASD integrity against business requirements. Qualifications 3+ years of relevant experience. Bachelors degree in Engineering (Instrument & Control, Electrical, or similar). Relevant control system experience with competency working with DCS, SCADA, RTUs and PLCs. Understanding of control engineering and systems and knowledge of process automation systems. Able to apply critical thinking techniques to create designs, recommendations, and solutions. Proactive problemsolving abilities to negotiate and provide effective solutions. Acts with integrity, commitment to meeting deadlines & quality and builds positive working relationships. Why Join Us?
