Role Overview The Head of Engineering will be responsible for leading and managing the work of a dedicated broader engineering and maintenance team. The role includes overseeing the design, development, and production of all components within our primary and secondary tree nut and fruit processing facilities and farming operations. Furthermore, the role will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required level of quality. Responsibilities Oversee the design, development, and implementation of processing and packing lines Oversee the design, development and implementation of major infrastructure capital works Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to team members Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Maintain knowledge of industry trends and advancements and incorporate them into company strategy Provide technical guidance and support to other departments as needed Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity Essential Criteria, Skills and Experience Experience in a similar role within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and Lean Manufacturing principles Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering and management Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in 3D design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Pro/Engineer Ability to think critically and solve complex problems Demonstrated ability to manage and meet project timelines and budgets Excellent people management and leadership skills including the ability to build and manage high-performance teams Ability to travel What We Are Offering Enjoy a country, coastal or city lifestyle at any of our locations For more information about our ESG Commitment, visit our ESG page .
