OverviewUGL are seeking an E&I Technician to work within the GLNG Maintenance Team undertaking electrical and instrumentation trade activities for the client. Initially, this will involve support for maintenance of non-core and non-critical operating assets as defined within GLNG systems. Directed support will also be required under supervision at times for core and critical operating assets and key Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) equipment as directed by the client or OEM contractor.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall electrical and instrumentation equipment and wiring systems in classified hazardous areas.Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 60079 and other relevant standards.Conduct visual, close, and detailed inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations in hazardous areas.Perform routine and periodic inspections to ensure ongoing compliance and safety.Use appropriate testing equipment to verify the integrity and safety of installations.Maintain and repair explosion-protected electrical and instrumentation equipment.Troubleshoot and rectify faults in hazardous area systems.Ensure all maintenance activities are documented and compliant with safety protocols.Qualifications and Education RequirementsQLD Electrical LicenceCertificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820) or equivalentPrior experience in oil & gas, mining, or petrochemical industriesMinimum EWP Yellow Card below 11m (RIIHAN301D) or preferred EWP WP 11m and over certificate (TLILIC2005A)Work Safely at Heights certified (RIIWHS204D)Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)Current Drivers LicenceDesirable:EEHA Certification (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas)About UsUGL Pty Limited is a leading provider of end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services.
