Systems Engineer / Specialist Technician Technical Support to Schools Program (TSSP) Education Sector Location: Victoria | Employment Type: Contract, Casual, or Permanent | Salary: $80,000 $110,000 (pro-rata) About Bytewize Bytewize is a panel member of the TSSP. Established in 2001, we deliver reliable ICT support across Victorian schools and private enterprise. We are seeking experienced IT professionals to deliver technical support services to the Department of Education through the TSSP. About the Role These are not entrylevel positions. Candidates must have at least 5 years industry experience, including: Previous experience within the TSSP program; or Extensive experience in the education sector; or Equivalent seniorlevel corporate IT support experience. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain ICT infrastructure across Department of Education schools. Administer and support school networks and server environments. Provide ICT support services in large, technologydriven learning environments. Collaborate with school leadership teams and deliver ICT professional development when required. Essential Technical Skills HyperV virtualization administration. Administration of Windows and Linuxbased servers. Cloud service administration (Google Workspace & Microsoft 365). Mobile Device Management (MDM) deployment and administration. Advanced enterprise networking (Cisco & HP switching). Cisco wireless technologies (controllers, APs). SOE and image deployment, with advanced troubleshooting skills. Experience supporting large fleets of desktops and notebooks. Experience with 1:1 and BYOD device planning, deployment, and management. Strong technical documentation skills. Highly Regarded Previous TSSP experience. Demonstrated success in educationsector ICT. Ability to plan/deliver ICT training sessions for staff. Personal Attributes Required Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problemsolving and escalation skills. Punctual, reliable, and wellorganised. Excellent people and communication skills. Systematic troubleshooting approach. Eligibility to work in Australia (citizen, PR, or permanent visa). Current drivers licence and reliable motor vehicle.
