About the role UGL is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team on a casual basis supporting a global gas client. This role will play a critical role in ensuring our projects meet the highest HSS & ER standards. Commencing 1st December 2025, you will work a 3week swing assisting with the decommissioning of an offshore platform. The point of hire is Perth, WA. Key Responsibilities Develop project Health Safety, Security (HSS) & Environmental Management and Emergency Response (ER) Plans. Conduct HSS reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards. Implement and maintain HSS & ER aspects of Project HSE Management Plans. Participate in HSS & ER risk management workshops. Support project contract owners in meeting HSS requirements. Collaborate with SMEs to support HSS & ER requirements. Facilitate HSS & ER assurance activities, including audits. Assist with hazard and incident management and reporting. Prepare and deliver HSS & ER training sessions. Monitor decommissioning and project operations for compliance. Provide HSS site representation as required. Perform other duties as directed by the HSE Manager and HSS Team Lead. Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualifications in safety, health, or related fields. 3+ years experience in offshore oil/gas or highrisk industry. Knowledge of HSS management systems and WA safety case regimes. Familiarity with Commonwealth, State, and Territory HSE legislation. Experience in auditing, investigations, and incident management. Root cause analysis investigation training (e.g., TapRoot, 5Y) Desirable. Internal/External Auditor training. Strong reportwriting skills. Certifications: TBOSIET, CAEBS, MISC.
