Case Management Specialist Employer: Illawarra Mercury Location: Wollongong, Australia Job type: 12month fixedterm, 35hour week, hybrid working environment. Starting salary: $99,938. About the Role The purpose of this role is to assist workers and employers with the claim process, providing support through the completion of relevant documents to ensure timely access to services that aid return to work and injury recovery. Candidates may also be considered for claims advisor roles in a competitive interview process. Key Responsibilities Develop strong customer relationships and provide a high level of customer service to workers, employers, providers, stakeholders, families and support networks. Provide accurate and complete information about claims, entitlements, obligations and responsibilities. Undertake ongoing entitlement reviews in relation to weekly payments and medical expenses. Collaborate with Injury Management Specialists, Technical Specialists and other experts. Assist workers and employers with the claim process and support the completion of required documents. Facilitate active participation of injured workers and their employers in returntowork and recovery planning. Ensure case management complies with legislation and compliance guidelines. Proactively pursue appropriate case management to achieve early sustainable return to work for workers with reasonable claim costs. Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Provide guidance to Claims Officers when dealing with complex cases. Qualifications & Experience At least 3 years experience in personal injury, life insurance or workers compensation handling complex cases. Understanding of the legislation and regulatory framework relevant to Workers Insurance. Prior consideration for claims advisor roles may be applicable.
