Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking a Library Services Coordinator. This role offers you the opportunity to work across the Bob McDonald Library and Dr David HarveySutton Gallery, leading services that bring people together through literacy, learning, culture, and the arts. What we offer Full Time- Level 5- $83,000$86,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience) + Superannuation. 5 weeks Annual Leave (with 17.5% Leave Loading) Monthly RDO (13 per year) Personal (Sick) Leave Remote Area Housing Assistance ($60 pw Renting / $90 pw Homeowner) What Youll Do Oversee the operations of Councils library and gallery services. Lead a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences in welcoming, modern spaces. Develop, implement, and evaluate programs that promote literacy, cultural development, and social inclusion. Build partnerships with community groups, schools, and stakeholders to strengthen services and programs. Manage budgets, funding opportunities, and reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with State Libraries Queensland agreements, WHS practices, and Council policies. What You Bring Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire staff and volunteers. Proven experience in planning, developing, and delivering highquality library and gallery services. Ability to engage effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds. Skills in planning, program management, and reporting. Enthusiasm for new technologies and a willingness to teach others. Highlevel customer service skills and the ability to present engaging group sessions. Mandatory Requirements Experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, exhibitions, and events. Possession of a Positive Notice Blue Card (Working with Children) or the ability to obtain. Tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Services, Gallery Management, or Museum Studies (or willingness to work towards). Knowledge of local arts, culture, and heritage. Experience in public libraries, cultural administration, or project management. Familiarity with library and gallery software, systems, and programs.
