An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a highly respected logistics organisation in Northampton, where you will play a pivotal role in managing one of their largest open book contracts. You''ll: Oversee all financial aspects of a critical open book contract, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with relevant standards. Prepare detailed monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets while providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. Collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure financial objectives align with business goals and contractual obligations. Monitor contract performance against key financial metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions. Support internal and external audits by preparing comprehensive documentation and responding promptly to queries. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across finance, operations, and client teams to foster an environment of trust and transparency. Lead on variance analysis, investigating discrepancies between actuals and forecasts to provide clear explanations and recommendations. You''ll be/have: A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Demonstrated experience in managing finances for large-scale open book contracts or projects within a logistics/3PL organisation. Proven ability to prepare detailed management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and conduct thorough variance analysis is vital for success. Excellent communication skills are necessary for building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels across finance and operations. Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail enables you to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within complex datasets. Package wise, on offer is 60,000-62,000, plus a bonus & strong car allowance. This is a hybrid role, spending ~3 days on site in Northampton/with client and WFH 2 days per week.
