Along with your team of 4, the primary role in our Hot Kitchen involves planning, preparing and cooking bulk quantities of filling to supply the ravioli and dumpling lines. Secondary but equally important is the contribution to new product development. Job Type Full-time Shift Daytime Monday to Friday8 hours, 5 days Tasks & Responsibilities Lead daily operations in your department. Ensure adequate staffing level, plan ingredients for production schedule. Ensure the team is following recipes for bulk mixing. Importantly, deliver on time and high-quality products for the Forming department. Oversee ordering, stock rotation, and inventory management. Enter data into the inventory management system. Liaise with the procurement manager on current stock levels and forecast volumes. Mentor and motivate your team by working closely, communicating to execute the daily production plan. Encourage their development and be supportive of improvement suggestions. Work closely with Plant and QA managers on continual improvement to efficiency and food safety. Cooperate with other department supervisors to run the plant effectively. Compliance. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice. Conduct and record quality and safety checks. Complete records concerning cooking temperatures, expiry dates of raw material, production records & cleaning schedules. New Product Development Produce test batches of new recipes. Innovate with new ingredients. Contribute ideas and find improvements to current recipes. All candidates should: Have the ability to exercise sound judgement. Be a problem solver. Be hands-on and physically fit. Have 5 years of proven food industry experience. Have experience in an SQF or BRC level plant. Pay attention to detail.
