You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing education and research, not just through your own scholarly work, but by building the research capacity of others. This is a unique opportunity to mentor clinical nurses in hospital settings, support early-career researchers, and drive collaborative health research with real world impact. You will make an impact by: Delivering highquality, studentcentred teaching across face to face, blended, and online modes, contributing to curriculum innovation and enhanced learning experience Providing academic leadership in teaching, learning, and curriculum development, including integration of educational technologies and best practice Leading the development of nursing research capacity among Level 2 and 3 nurses, with a focus on mentoring, research training, and capability building, rather than conducting research independently Collaborating with Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD) to design and deliver research workshops, facilitate training, and support clinical staff in the development of grant proposals and ethics applications. Balancing onsite engagement with flexible work from home time for documentation, grant writing, and research design. Fostering strategic partnerships across the University, health services, and community to support the Facultys research, teaching, and engagement priorities What you will bring Youre passionate about advancing nursing education and research, fostering student success, and strengthening partnerships between academia and the health sector to drive innovation and improve health outcomes. To succeed in this role, you will also need: A doctoral qualification in Nursing or a related field, and current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division1) Proven excellence in universitylevel nursing education, with experience in evidencebased, inclusive teaching across blended and online platforms A developing research track record, including publications, supervision experience, and active scholarly engagement A passion for mentoring and developing others, especially earlycareer clinicians and postdoctoral researchers building their academic track record and research confidence Strong academic leadership skills, including course coordination, and a commitment to professional development, equity, diversity, and workplace safety The drive to take the next step in your academic career, ready to grow your impact and move into a leadership role in nursing research, while continuing to build momentum with grants, networks, and collaborative projects.
