Position Overview This role is designed to develop students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics across Kindergarten to Year Four. The teacher will deliver classroom instruction, lead STEM groups or clubs, and collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high standard of STEM teaching and curriculum compliance. Responsibilities Prepare and teach STEM lessons focused on design, technology and mathematics integration. Develop and oversee curriculum ensuring NESA compliance and alignment with the science syllabus. Administer and participate in activities that nurture STEM interest, including cocurricular interest groups. Collaborate with colleagues to promote a cohesive scope & sequence and develop STEM skills. Maintain and develop resources that enable students to build STEM skills. Keep current knowledge of STEM developments to enhance the Junior School program. Teach other subjects as required, primarily within the Junior School. Carry out additional duties as directed by the Head of Junior School or College Principal. Qualifications Essentials Ability to promote the schools Christian vision and ethos. Living relationship with Jesus Christ. Approved NESA teacher registration. Proven experience and expertise in STEM. Positive classroom management and pastoral support skills. High interpersonal skills for constructive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. Effective teamwork and leadership abilities. Strong organisational and communication skills, written and oral. Desirable Skills & Experience Experience in related subjects or educational roles. Welldeveloped administrative and curriculum documentation skills. Willingness to engage with students across extracurricular activities. Working Hours & Conditions Fulltime; parttime possible. Monday to Friday, 8:15am 4:15pm, commencing Term One 2026. Workplace must remain free from sexual harassment. All employees must adhere to these expectations.
