About the role Step into a rewarding role as a Nursing Assistant where you will bring excellent customer-facing skills and a genuine passion to deliver an exceptional service to our donors. You will play a key role in supporting our donors through their donation process. Full training is provided so, along with the above, all you need is the curiosity and motivation to learn the process of collecting blood and biological product. A day in the centre could see you: Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate Create a donor experience theyll love and want to come back. Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests Set up machines and collections equipment Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood and plasma Monitor donors post-donation and assist them with rebooking their next donation Work collaboratively to achieve collection targets No prior experience in blood collection is needed, our paid and flexible selfpaced training programme has a balance between onthejob practice, and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported. Besides having a real passion to deliver an exceptional donor experience, youll need to be able to: Be comfortable with needles and blood/biological materials Occasionally lift between 922.7 kgs Support and foster a fantastic team culture Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday, including weekends and afternoon shifts This role includes a rotating Saturday shift, with team members working every second Saturday Capacity to travel to our training hub Benefits and Wellbeing We place our employee''s wellbeing at the forefront and express gratitude and care for one another.
