Court Liaison Officer (Multi Disc) Griffith Local Courts and Backfill to Metropolitan and Rural Courts SCCLS Justice Health PFT Employment Type: Permanent Full TimePosition Classification: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 ($131,870.90 - $134,464.17), Clinical Psychologist ($122,881 - $128,653), Occupational Therapist Lvl 4 ($121,658 - $124,607), Social Worker Lvl 4 ($121,658 - $124,607)Hours Per Week: 38Applications Close: 10 November 2025 at 11:59pm AEST The Role To assist the Local Court Magistrate with the diversion of defendants who have or are suspected of having a mental illness, mental disorder or a cognitive impairment from the Criminal Justice System into the community. This role will be based out of Griffith Local Court and provide a telehealth diversion service to Metropolitan, Rural and Regional Local Courts across NSW. Essential Criteria Must hold a relevant postgraduate qualification in mental health. Must hold a current NSW Drivers Licence. Qualifications for Specific Clinical Roles Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia. Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Five years full time equivalent post registration clinical experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent in an acute mental health setting. Occupational Therapist Level 4 Must hold qualifications recognised for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Must hold general registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Five years full time equivalent post registration clinical experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent in an acute mental health setting. Psychologist and Accredited Counsellor Option 1: Minimum of a fouryear accredited psychology degree and hold general registration with Psychology Board of Australia under AHPRA. Option 2: Minimum fouryear full time equivalent sequence of study via either pathway A or B below and hold membership or demonstrate eligibility for listing on the Australian Register of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (ARCAP) as either a Division A PACFA minimum Clinical Registrant or Division B ACA minimum Level 3. Pathway A Minimum threeyear bachelorlevel accredited degree in a healthrelated discipline and minimum two years full time equivalent postgraduate higher degree study in counselling via an accredited course. Pathway B Minimum threeyear Bachelor of Counselling degree via an accredited higher degree course and minimum oneyear full time equivalent postgraduate higher degree study in counselling via an accredited course. Social Worker Level 4 Minimum Bachelors degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer. Five years full time equivalent post registration clinical experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent in an acute mental health setting. Our Service and Team Statewide Community and Court Liaison Service (SCCLS) delivered by Justice Health NSW offers mental health support in Local Courts across NSW.
