THE OPPORTUNITY Sharp & Carter is proud to be partnering with AgriFutures Australia to recruit a People & Culture Manager, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. This role offers the opportunity to shape, lead and deliver high-quality people initiatives across a close-knit and values-driven organisation. Supporting approximately 80 employees across multiple business units, youll play a critical role in ensuring the people strategy supports AgriFutures broader mission. With one direct report, youll manage all facets of the People & Culture function - from recruitment and onboarding to policy, performance, WHS, engagement and culture. This is a broad, handson role ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in smaller, dynamic environments and enjoys partnering closely with senior leaders to make a tangible difference. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operational leadership: Deliver expert People & Culture advice across the full employee lifecycle, providing strategic and operational guidance across the organisation. Partner with Senior Leadership: Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to implement people practices that align with organisational values, support business objectives and comply with relevant legislation. End-to-End Recruitment & Workforce Planning: Oversee recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning initiatives to ensure alignment with future workforce needs and diverse talent pipelines. Culture, Engagement & Wellbeing Champion: Design, implement and evaluate culture, engagement and wellbeing programs that foster a highperformance and inclusive workplace. Compliance & Enterprise Agreement Management: Ensure rigorous compliance with the AgriFutures Enterprise Agreement and relevant employment legislation, providing clear, practical advice on employment conditions and entitlements. WHS, Governance & Policy Framework Management: Manage WHS requirements, governance frameworks and HR policy development, ensuring alignment with legislative standards and risk management. Systems & Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement across HR systems, reporting and processes (particularly within ELMO), enhancing datadriven decisionmaking and operational efficiency. People & Culture Team Leadership: Lead, coach and mentor the People & Culture Coordinator to deliver responsive, highquality Services. ABOUT YOU Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, or a related field. 7+ years experience across HR generalist or business partner roles, demonstrating progressive career growth and expertise in diverse People & Culture functions. Strong knowledge of HR policy, procedure, and compliance frameworks, including experience in policy review, development, and implementation. Proven experience advising senior stakeholders within complex or multidisciplinary settings. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization (including senior executives and Boards). Pragmatic, solutionsfocused and confident working both strategically and operationally. Handson experience with HR systems including ELMO (desirable), to manage processes, generate reports, and leverage data for decisionmaking.
