About This Role The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Team Leader to provide a critical role within Offender Services, Corella Place and Emu Creek. The Team Leader will facilitate operational objectives by leading the Specialist Case Workers (SCWs) and the Activities Coordinator, both independently and in a team context, in a dynamic operational environment. Corella Place is a Transitional Accommodation Facility located near Ararat in south-west Victoria. It is staffed 24/7 to enhance community protection by providing accommodation for sex offenders when suitable housing elsewhere is not available. The supervision of Corella Place residents is done in accordance with the Offender Management Framework. The Post Sentence Branch, within the Community Operations Offender Services Division of Corrections Victoria, provides central oversight and governance of the post sentence scheme and offenders subject to post sentence orders. The Serious Offenders Act provides the legal framework for a residential treatment facility where a court may order supervised offenders to reside. Responsibilities Coordinate the day to day operational aspects of Corella Place (two sites). Perform the duties of Officer in Charge in the absence of the Operations Managers. Responsible for the performance management of a team, including professional development, maintenance of professional standards and best practice service delivery. Administer the Electronic Monitoring System and supervise high risk, high profile, and high need offenders in line with policy and risk management requirements. Facilitate residents'' engagement in recreational, cultural, vocational and educational activities to improve wellbeing and living skills. About You To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience working within a legislative framework and an ability to apply policies and procedures.
