Position Details Position No: 115 / 2025 Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time Full-Time | Temporary Contract (4 years from commencement) Level 9 | Salary: $130,298 - $138,953, plus superannuation Vehicle Allowance of $14,000 Vacancy 115 / 2025 The opportunity We are in the market for a highly skilled and motivated Projects Manager to manage the Citys major and minor capital works contracts and provide project management services. Reporting to the Manager Project Management, this role will be responsible for managing civil and building contracts and projects, including: leading internal groups and expert consultants; coordinating the design process from concept schematic drawings to construction contract documentation; providing quality infrastructure project management services to the organisation, including timely and budget sensitive delivery of key capital works projects and other projects; effectively managing major capital investment works projects and minor capital works projects by facilitating multi-disciplinary teams and providing advice on strategic commercial and project issues; ensuring the application of best practice methods for contract administration, including the assessment of and response to variations, extension of time and other contract related requests; actively managing project and contractual risks and compliance, and preparing project risk registers with clear mitigation plans; facilitating the procurement and contract awarding process; and ensuring programmed targets and budgets are met. To be successful in this role, you will need: A degree qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Construction or Building) Recognition by the relevant governing body as a registered professional (e.g. recognition by the Institution of Engineers as a professional engineer) A minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in a project management role (or similar) Comprehensive knowledge of procurement, contract management and contract law Thorough knowledge of project management principles and processes, from client briefs to project hand over Sound knowledge of the building approval process, regulatory authorities, procedures, codes and regulations Current unrestricted C class national drivers licence For more information about the role, please refer to the position description.
