Your team supports the Kogan Site Business Plan through capital projects, overhaul engineering, plant strategy development, and performance optimisation. This is a senior leadership role that plays a critical part in delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy generation through engineering excellence.This is a full time permanent position based at Kogan Creek Power Station. Kogan Creek Power Station is located within the vibrant Western Downs community near Chinchilla. The relaxed western Queensland lifestyle is popular with families and singles alike. The region boasts several schools, sporting clubs and a strong community spirit.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a diverse engineering team to enhance technical skills and growth.Manage delivery of engineering and contract services aligned with operational goals.Oversee specialist contractors to ensure quality outcomes.Provide technical oversight for plant operations and performance.Ensure compliance with Professional Engineers Act 2002 and regulatory requirements.Develop and implement reliability-centred maintenance strategies.Manage projects supporting compliance, risk mitigation, and asset performance.Maintain accurate work management data and documentation.Monitor performance via BI reports and validate maintenance budgets in SAP.Act as delegate for Head of Engineering as needed.Collaborate with Site Leadership Team to achieve business objectives.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:Engineering degree with 5-10 years experience in the power generating industry or heavy industry.Highly developed leadership skills with the ability to manage a group of multi-disciplined professionals.Previous experience in the successful implementation of engineering related projects and reduction in short and long term plant failures.Extensive understanding of power station operations and thermal processes.Demonstrated knowledge of complex infrastructure and process systems.Demonstrated experience coaching and working within site-based teams of varying size.Whats in it for youCompetitive salary plus 12.75% superannuationPermanent remote housing in Chinchilla or surroundsProfessional membershipsUp to 15% annual incentive paymentAs part of the recruitment process, the successful applicant will be required to complete a pre employment medical and background checks.Seniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeIndustries: Utilities #J-18808-Ljbffr
