Balance your life with a 9 day fortnight.About The RoleThe role of Crew Member State Roads is responsible for operating small trucks and other plant items as part of a team on the State and Regional roads network. You will undertake general labouring duties to maintain roads and related assets, including bitumen, concrete, lawn maintenance and drainage works, implementing and maintaining sedimentation and erosion control measures. You will also undertake traffic control, concreting including formwork, steel fixing and finishing, pipe laying duties. This role also undertakes incident response for Transport NSW. This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.To Be Successful In This Role, You Will HaveKey activities include:carrying out construction labouring duties associated with the completion of roads, drainage and concreting workscompleting all tasks in adherence to WHS, EMS and Risk Management Policies and practicesoperating small plant and equipment including rollers, other compaction equipment, electrical tools, levelling lasers, chainsaws and concrete sawsEssential CriteriaGeneral Induction Card (White) for Construction Works or equivalentClass C Drivers LicenceTraffic Controller Licence or willingness to obtainSafe Work near Overhead Power Lines; or willingness to obtainOther Important InformationThe commencing salary for this position is up to $63.5k.
