The Role The Cleaner In Charge is responsible for opening/closing the school and performing internal cleaning duties, including maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and other general cleaning tasks. Carry out external cleaning duties as required, including cleaning verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning drinking troughs, window cleaning, cobweb removal, and related duties. Complete vacation cleaning duties, including stripping and sealing vinyl floors, window cleaning, carpet shampooing, pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas, and other related tasks. Supervise staff in coordination with the Manager Corporate Services, including managing staff performance and liaison on cleaning matters. Maintain the cleaners time book, arrange relief staff, monitor and order stock supplies. Work hours: 6.00am to 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. Responsibilities and Qualifications Ideal candidates will have experience supervising staff and working with school staff, in consultation with the Manager Corporate Services. Liaise with the Manager Corporate Services on all cleaning matters; respond to issues and concerns. Record keeping and reporting related to cleaning operations.
