OverviewJunior Shop Assistant Skate, Skateboard & Scooter Shop (Part-Time / Casual) Morisset, NSWRoller Derby Heaven (RDH) has been supporting Australias skate scene for over 30 years. Were a family-owned, grassroots business based in Morisset, NSW, and were passionate about giving skaters of all kinds access to the best gear, advice, and service. Were looking for a Junior Shop Assistant to help support our Store Manager and assist with day-to-day operations. Youll play an important role in serving customers, answering enquiries, keeping the store stocked and tidy, and helping with fittings and sales.This is a hands-on, customer-facing role in a supportive and fun retail environment. Youll gain experience across retail sales, product knowledge, online support, and general store upkeep. Key Responsibilities Welcome and assist customers in-store with a friendly, helpful attitude Answer phone calls and respond to online enquiries (email/website) Serve customers and handle transactions via POS system Assist with skate, scooter and skateboard fittings Keep the store tidy and shelves well-stocked Help set up displays, promotions and maintain store presentation Work closely with the Store Manager and owners to support store operations What Were Looking For Excellent communication and customer service skills Friendly, personable and confident talking to customers of all ages Reliable, punctual, and able to take initiative Willingness to learn about our products and how to fit skates/scooters Basic computer skills and ability to use online systems Previous retail or hospitality experience is a bonus, but not essential An interest or experience in skating, skateboards, or scooters Job Details Job Type: Casual / Part-Time Location: Morisset, NSW Shifts: Saturdays (10am 3pm) essential; 23 weekdays (flexible, to be discussed at interview) Pay: In line with Retail Award rates, dependent on age and experience Expected hours: 15 20 per week Work Location: In person Perks & Benefits Up to 50% staff discount on skates, skateboards, scooters & gear Mentoring and on-the-job training provided Supportive team environment with a fun, skate-loving culture Closed on public holidays including Easter, Christmas & New Year Opportunities for growth and skill development How To Apply To apply, please send your resume and a short cover letter answering: Why youd be a great fit for this role Your availability (including weekdays) Any experience or interest in skating, skateboards or scooters Roller Derby Heaven is more than just a skate shop were a hub for the local skating community.
