Female Aged Care Home & Community Assistant. Permanent Part Time - LismoreLife Without Barriers are seeking qualified and experienced Female Aged Care Home and Community Assistants for our clients in Lismore. As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will be providing personalised home care support to older Australians in Lismore so they can continue living independently in their own homes.You will travel between clients homes, so a willingness to travel is essential (you will be reimbursed .99c per KM travelled while you are working). We have a Permanent Part Time opportunity with shifts available between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work and no evening or overnight shifts.About the RoleAt Life Without Barriers we consider gender a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 27 (2), (c), (e) and (g) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, and so we ask that only Female applicants apply.Key ResponsibilitiesDomestic assistance such as light house cleaning and meal preparationPersonal care inclusive of showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and wellbeingCommunity access to medical appointments and social activitiesProvide support with daily tasks and routinesBuild positive relationships with clients and their familiesSkills & ExperienceAn Australian Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationshipsPassionate about making a positive impact in our ageing communityA current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients.
