OverviewCommunity Engagement Coordinator Port Macquarie, Mid North CoastWant to make a difference? Join the New Horizons team as a Community Engagement Coordinator and work within our Program in MNC Region.About the RoleThis role provides support and works in partnership with people living with disability to live in a SIL property in the way that they want to.We empower our customers by supporting them to build independence, identify and achieve goals, engage in activities of daily life, and encourage genuine connections within the community. To work with us you have a positive, authentic, inclusive personality which you bring to work with you every day.ResponsibilitiesAll new customers site induction and welcome packDesign in consultation with customers, a fortnightly menu. This can be done as part of the house meetings and should form part of the agendaManagement of chemicals on site including completion of related documentationAll service vehicles have first aid kit audits completed and records are stored appropriatelyComplete the quarterly safety audits and identify corrective actions including, where relevant, raising of maintenance requestsProvide ongoing education and training on the reporting requirements of hazards and WHS mattersManage & monitor the "customer medical appointment scheduled" and review doctor visit forms following each visitVisiting health professional form completion and storageWhat our customers want from youOur customers would like you to be: punctual, friendly, outgoing, non-judgmental, flexible, guided by lived-experience, persistent, balanced, empathetic and practical.
