About the RoleMaxwell Underground Mine are currently seeking an enthusiastic Land and Property Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Environment, Community and Approvals Manager, this unique role will primarily be responsible for managing on-site mine rehabilitation, biodiversity and conservation offset areas, all land management activities and managing offsite properties. The role would appeal to anyone who is interested in ecology and/or biodiversity and someone who enjoys spending time in the field.Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Coordinating rehabilitation activities such as:Landform designTopsoil managementSeeding and tree plantingErosion controlEcosystem developmentAssisting site to achieve rehabilitation targets and goalsAssisting site with preparing rehabilitation management plans and strategiesCoordinating GIS data for rehabilitation and land management activitiesManaging environmental contractors to undertake land management activities including weeds management, feral animal management, tree planting and bushfire mitigationEngaging with the Aboriginal community including coordinating site work and developing cultural awareness activities for the siteRegularly meeting with leasees regarding rural properties and offsite property maintenanceProviding technical advice and guidance on environmental related matters to support operations in the delivery of a safety, productive and cost effective mineProviding input into the overall environmental strategy for the siteLiaising with local land holders, community members and Government officialsProviding relevant environmental training for operational personnelHelping develop a safety culture that supports the companys valuesAs our preferred candidate you will be someone with a can-do attitude, and hands-on approach, who demonstrates initiative and a willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment.About YouTo be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:Tertiary qualifications in Applied Science, Environmental Science or related disciplineA minimum 3 years experience within the Mining IndustryA thorough understanding of NSW environmental legislationExperience in mine rehabilitation, biodiversity offsets and land management activitiesProficient in project and contractor managementHighly developed interpersonal and communication skillsEmployee BenefitsCompetitive remuneration package with robust employee benefitsComprehensive salary packaging through MaxxiaExtensive support through Malabars Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Collaborative and inclusive work environmentLong-term career opportunities with 25-year mine lifeThriving company culture focused on internal promotion and career development #J-18808-Ljbffr
