This is a not-for-profit employer opportunity with a focus on care for older people in connected and inclusive communities.ResponsibilitiesExecuting the preventative maintenance program throughout the residential aged care home.Performing reactive repairs on items within the home as the need arises.Managing the coordination of external maintenance contractors as required.Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures.What youll needA kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly.Trade certificate or Cert IV in Maintenance/Building services.Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.Hands-on experience with building maintenance, handyman or building services roles.Strong understanding of the practical application of workplace health and safety legislation.Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families.Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents.Great IT skills.Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance.What we offerCompetitive hourly pay rate.Not-for-profit tax benefits so you pay less tax.Additional benefits such as paid parental leave and long service leave after 5 years.Additional week of leave for Enterprise Agreement shift workers.40+ locations across NSW and QLD if you choose to move.A values-based organisation that welcomes applicants from all faiths and backgrounds.Catholic Healthcare acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we live, work and dream.
