The Division delivers sustainable, safe, and innovative spaces that support teaching, research, and community engagement objectives.About The OpportunityThe Maintenance Manager will lead the delivery of reactive and planned maintenance operations across UOWs campuses. This role will oversee civil, building, and landscape maintenance, manage compliance and preventative contracts, and ensure high-quality service delivery through effective supervision and stakeholder engagement.You will manage internal teams and external contractors, prioritise works, and drive operational excellence with a strong customer service focus.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee reactive and planned maintenance across all campusesManage preventative and compliance contracts to ensure value and regulatory adherenceLead and supervise a multidisciplinary teamPrioritise maintenance programs in collaboration with IPD teamsResolve complex maintenance requests and ensure service excellenceMonitor budgets and ensure efficient resource allocationUphold WHS responsibilities and contribute to UOWs inclusive workplace cultureAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:A Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience in facilities managementExperience in building compliance, civil infrastructure, or landscape maintenanceStrong knowledge of WHS legislation, environmental standards, and access requirementsProven ability to manage and mentor large teamsExperience managing external service providers and ensuring quality controlBudget management and reporting capabilitiesFamiliarity with data systems for property/facilities reportingExperience in higher education (desirable)This position requires a valid Australian Driver Licence and the ability to work across campuses, including outside standard business hours and on-call duties.How To ApplyTo apply for this position, submit an up-to-date CV and a cover letter (no more than 4 pages) summarising your skills and ability as they relate to the selection criteria listed in the position description.For further information about this role please contact Clatyton McDowell: ********@uow.edu.auClosing Date: Friday 24 October 2025, 12.00 pmNote: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
