Youre passionate about being part of a team that delivers impactful safety outcomes so that everyone goes home safely every day.ResponsibilitiesIn this role, youll become a Road Safety Hero that is held in high esteem in our communities and vital to the safety of our kids, parents, teachers and local motorists.Youll grow to be a much-loved familiar face around the school with a unique opportunity to touch the lives of countless families.This is a casual position which will provide relief at sites in the Queanbeyan/ Palerang Local Government Area.Shifts may fall between the school zones hours 8.00 to 9.30 AM and 2.30 to 4.00 PM, with a minimum of one hour shift as and when required Monday to Friday during the school term.You will receive an hourly rate along with superannuation.About youYou are a community-minded person who would like to contribute.Youll get a kick out of building community relationships, keeping kids safe whilst earning a weekly wage for doing something you love.Youre reliable and prepared to show up for your communityin good or bad weather.Youll display effective communication skills and be alert to potential dangers.If this all sounds like you, wed love to hear from you.Qualifications and requirementsApplicants must be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. All training, uniforms and equipment will be provided.You will need to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment. If you havent done this before, we will help you through the process.
