Youll drive the planning, feasibility, and business case development of key projects across transport, open space, stormwater, and community facilities - translating strategic objectives into well-defined projects ready for delivery.Working across Councils technical, planning and delivery functions, youll provide expert coordination to ensure major initiatives such as Hornsby Town Centre revitalisation, Hornsby Park, and Westleigh Park progress through the right stages of analysis, funding, and approvals. This is a high-impact role suited to someone who enjoys complex, multi-stakeholder environments and takes pride in transforming long-term plans into tangible community outcomes.Position requirementsEssential Qualifications & LicencesDegree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Project Planning/Management, or a related disciplineEssential Experience & SkillsExtensive experience in the planning, feasibility, and governance of major infrastructure projects or capital programs.Proven ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs and prepare robust business cases and funding submissions.Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to negotiate across internal and external agencies.High-level analytical, written and presentation skills, including report preparation for executive, Council and funding audiences.Experience in developing governance frameworks and project management processes for complex or high-value initiatives.Experience in local government or broader public sector infrastructure planning.Demonstrated ability to secure grant funding or investment partnerships.Probity RequirementsThe successful applicant will be required to provide proof of qualifications, right to work in Australia, and hold a valid drivers licence and White Card.
