Job Description

Overview Lead activities within the TLaWC Cultural Land Management Division, primarily coordination and delivery of the Corop Cultural Waterscape program. This position will coordinate governance structures, research and development actions and identify the institutional reforms required to enable TLaWC to progress agency and community partnerships for new culturally informed planning, governance and management arrangements for the Corop Cultural Waterscape. Status: Full time Term: Fixed term, 2 years with further extension based on funding availability Location: Alexandra, with flexible arrangements available at TLaWC Key Duties Build communication, collaboration and coordination with other units across TLaWC to support integrated delivery of the Corop Cultural Waterscape Program. Drive the processes of the Corop program governance structure, including the Strategic Leadership Group, and three Working Groups. Collaborate with TLaWCs Biocultural Knowledge Emergence team to support development of cultural governance for the Corop Cultural Waterscape Program. Write program reports and other outputs as required. Coordinate and collaborate across other CLM programs (water, fire, forests) to integrate cultural and ecological land management approaches delivered within the Corop Cultural Waterscape. Support cultural values assessments and monitoring of biocultural values on the Corop Cultural Waterscape. Engage with the Taungurung water knowledge group Baan Ganalina and other TLaWC Knowledge Groups in relation to the Corop Cultural Waterscape program. Act as key contact point for TLaWC for the Corop Cultural Waterscape program, including participation in DEECA IWM Forums. Coordinate external researchers and other specialist consultants. Transfer learning to other significant waterscapes such as Waring (the mid-Goulburn River), Stone Country, and related strategic initiatives. Support wider Cultural Landscape Management Division activities, including the development of culturally informed collaborative governance, planning and management methodologies in line with a cultural landscapes (and waterscapes) approach. Prepare TLaWCs input to reviews and/or development of key relevant policies impacting Corop and other waterscapes.
