Talk to us about what flexibility may look like for you.Period of AppointmentAppointment to the role is on a fixed term basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for five (5) years.ResponsibilitiesThe Executive Director will deliver on key result areas relevant to both the departments Executive and the specialisations of the Business, Industry and Investment division. These areas include:Provide strategic direction and coordination for the design and provision of client services to Tasmanian businesses.Provide highest level strategic and policy advice and recommendations to the Deputy Secretary, Secretary, portfolio Ministers, Agency Executive members and key stakeholders on complex policy issues and major projects and formulate strategies for resolving emerging issues impacting the Tasmanian economy and industries.Provide high level strategic policy advice and recommendations on strategic cross-portfolio projects and financial assistance packages to the Deputy Secretary, Secretary, Tasmanian Development Board and Ministers.Provide high level leadership, policy and strategic direction to units dedicated to supporting the following Ministerial portfolios: Business Industry and resources (including the Tasmanian Development Board), Innovation, Science and the Digital Economy, and supporting small business advice for the portfolio of Small Business, Trade and Consumer Affairs.
