This scenic fertile area is noted for being one of the most reliable dairying areas in Australia, because it is has both a high rainfall and reliable water for irrigation from various sources. It is also a beautiful relaxing spot.We have a multi-enterprise business carrying over 1400 dairy cows plus replacements, a sizeable dairy x beef herd, and a contract potato production enterprise. We have a program of ongoing investment in infrastructure to enable best practice systems and efficiency and ease of management. Our approach is to operate the farm in a way that maximizes productive potential and in the process provides a fulfilling and pleasant lifestyle for the management and staff that depend on the business for a living.We currently employ about 10 people, ranging from full-time, long term employees through to back packers that fill transitionary roles during the busy periods.About the PositionWe are looking for a hard-working achiever to rapidly learn all aspects of our farming operation with the goal of gradually taking on the key roles of responsibility. The role includes general farm work, irrigation, tractor work, milking, and feeding of livestock. It is advantageous if you have some prior farming experience, but if not, we can train and mentor the right applicant.As an employer we pride ourselves on our innovative culture and encourage applications from a diverse range of candidates.
