Gisborne Chinese Restaurant is the first established chinese restaurant in town. We have been operating for more than 30 years and providing authentic Chinese cuisines. We are looking for an experience chef to join our team. Duties & responsibilities: Full responsibility of the kitchens daily operations Creating menus and developing new innovative recipes based on traditional Chinese recipes Ordering supplies and managing stocks in collaboration with the restaurant manager Dealing with suppliers (with an eye on costs) Implementing and monitoring HACCP procedures and Health & Safety processes Rostering Training kitchen staff (crucial in this role). About you: Experience: at leaset 3 years as a chef Good understanding of the financial constraints of a restaurant business Enjoy training staff and passing on knowledge.
