What Youll Gain Experience working in a fun and rewarding career making a real difference in childrens lives. Practical workplace experience for 12-15 months, while studying towards a nationally recognised qualification. The opportunity to progress to a career as a qualified Early Years Practitioner. Realising the important role you play in a childs learning and development journey. Hours & Pay Full-time: 3540 hours per week (MondayFriday in nursery, or varied hours in Out of School Care settings). Rate of Pay: 7.55 per hour (National Minimum Wage for Modern Apprentices). As a Modern Apprentice, You Will Work towards a SCQF Level 7 qualification in partnership with Carousel Training Centre and your Employer. Attend monthly training classes and receive regular support from an Assessor. Gain the SVQ in Social Services (Children and Young People). Build the skills and knowledge to become a qualified Early Years Practitioner in just 1215 months. Key Responsibilities Work with the staff team to create a safe, positive environment for children. Be a valued member of a team. Support staff in delivering fun, active, and educational activities. Gain handson experience with children from babies to preschool age. Learn how children develop through creative play and activities. Support with personal care tasks (toileting, dressing, feeding). Engage with parents/carers to support each childs learning journey. Help with nursery routines, including snack preparation and cleaning equipment. Follow nursery safeguarding procedures to ensure all children are safe and secure. What Were Looking For Enthusiastic and confident individuals who want to work in a Nursery or Out of School Care setting. Good communication skills and a genuine desire to support the development of young children. The ability to engage and interact enthusiastically with children.
