Banquet Attendant - Casual Location: The RitzCarlton Melbourne, 650 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, Victoria 3000, Australia. Schedule: Part Time. Position Type: NonManagement. Remote? No. Position Summary: As a Food & Beverage Expert Banquet, you will support event setup and service, ensuring guest experiences meet our luxury standards. Responsibilities Assist in preparing and setting up event and meeting spaces, including handling heavy tables, chairs, and other equipment to ensure everything is in place for successful events. Tend bar and serve platters of food, ensuring a high standard of service and presentation. Provide operational support in the service and delivery of food and beverages, maintaining efficiency and attention to detail. Arrange dining setups (buffetstyle to fine dining) to meet RitzCarlton standards. Polish cutlery to RitzCarlton standards and ready all miscellaneous items for service. Build and strengthen relationships with guests, showcasing our service to foster repeat business and future bookings. Support event arrangements and create unforgettable experiences that exceed guest expectations. Understand and anticipate guest requirements, delivering exceptional service throughout each interaction. Collaborate with the banquets team on operational tasks to ensure smooth event execution. Support other venue outlets when necessary (InRoom Dining, Atria, Lobby Lounge, etc.). Work overnight shifts (11:00PM11:00AM) when required for overnight attendants. About You Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol certification. Have experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Luxury customer service experience preferred. Valid working rights in Australia. Enthusiastic to advance your career in hospitality. Proactive, energetic, and able to thrive in a fastpaced environment. Bring a positive, cando attitude.
