Western Sydney - Blacktown or Penrith Location Full-Time Permanent Role Clerk Grade 5/6 - $99,938 - $110,271 plus superannuation and leave loading Your role The Assistant Tenant Participation Officer will play a key role in building vibrant, engaged, and empowered communities. Working closely with tenants, you''ll coordinate the development and delivery of tenant engagement initiatives that support Home NSW to improve services by putting the tenant at centre of what we do. Being an advocate for our tenants, this role will be handson, communityfocused and rewarding! What youll do Making a significant impact in the community and assisting tenants to have a stronger voice in shaping their communities, the responsibilities of this role will include, but will not be limited to: Building transparency and trust with tenants to encourage them to participate and speak up about concerns or issues Developing and implementing a range of tenant feedback systems, ongoing consultative/advisory arrangements and mechanisms with individual social housing residents, families, organisations (government and nongovernment) and the local community Collaborating and analysing results from these feedback systems to identify main issues and areas of concern and implement a plan for next steps Coordinating and assisting in the development of communitybased projects and activities to facilitate increased participation of residents in community capacity building and neighbourhood activities Managing key relationships and partnerships to strengthen communication, improve service access, and promote sustainable tenancies across Homes NSW communities Contributing to tenant and community involvement and empowerment planning to improve Homes NSW performance in selected housing management activities Organising and contributing to community meetings and workshops Networking with external stakeholders including Council, Education, Police & Indigenous agencies, residents and resident groups What were looking for To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will have: Relevant qualifications as well as 2-3 years'' experience in tenant participation, community development, or community services An engaging, trustworthy and approachable nature Ability to work under tight deadlines with competing priorities Ability to work in adherence to legislation and governing compliance requirements Familiarity with working with people of diverse backgrounds and life experiences An empathetic and results driven nature High-level interpersonal and facilitation skills, with the ability to build trust and manage sensitive issues Strong motivation and dedication to drive better outcome initiatives What We Offer We offer a variety of benefits, including: A challenging and rewarding career Flexible, autonomous work environment Competitive pay and conditions Training and development opportunities to build and maintain capabilities Health & Wellbeing and Employee Assistance Programs.
